The Declaration of Independence
Has 4 references to the Creator God.
Paragraph 1:  
     Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them.
Paragraph 2:  
     We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
Paragraph 5:  
     We, therefore, the Representatives of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, in General Congress, assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the World for the Rectitude of our Intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly Publish and Declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be, Free and Independent States;
Paragraph 5:
     And for the support of this declaration, with a firm Reliance on the Protection of Divine Providence,
     These are not the words of atheist.  These are the words of the Founding Fathers, whom the vast majority were practicing Christians.  The second Paragraph states, we receive our unalienable Rights from the Creator, not man.   Read the Declaration of Independence.

The United States Constitution
    The Founding Fathers did not want to set up a State Religion, so there is no article in the Constitution referring to God or a Religion.  They wanted people to be free to worship God as they saw fit.  As they were mostly Christians they acknowledged God by dating it, in the "Year of our Lord".

The Bill of Rights
     The First Amendment to the Constitution gives citizens freedom of Religion, freedom of speech, freedom of peaceful assembly and freedom of the press.  Freedom of Religion gives citizens the Right to worship God in a way fitting their Christian Denomination.  This also allows Jews, Hindus, Muslims and other religions to worship freely as long as this is peaceful to others.  The First Amendment prevents the government from infringing on the rights of Religious Faith.  The U.S. Supreme Court has infringed on this Freedom for the past 60 years.

CONCLUSION:
    From the Declaration of Independent our Forefathers proclaimed our Freedoms came from God, not man or king.  The First Amendment gives citizens the freedom to worship God.  Virtually every State Constitution acknowledges God in some form.  The idea that this country was founded by atheists is absurd propaganda.
